Borderless Book Club

In response to the Covid-19 crisis and the lockdown order, Peirene created the Borderless Book Club in collaboration with several other small presses in March 2020. Initially planned for a six-week run, we have decided to continue the book club with fortnightly meetings for the foreseeable future.

Meetings are held on Thursday evenings at 8pm UK time, via Zoom. Participation is free and meetings can be accessed from anywhere in the world. We exclusively discuss translated literature and invite translators to join us to discuss their work. Hosted by Maddie Rogers, Peirene’s publishing assistant, each meeting features a different press presenting their book.

Sign up to the mailing list here to receive Zoom invitations and discussion questions ahead of meetings.

Previous sessions are available to listen to as a podcast here.
