Our publisher Meike Ziervogel has had quite a busy few weeks. After being interviewed for The Economist about Shatila Stories, Meike and Suhir Helal – our Syrian editor – were interviewed on the BBC World Service!
They talked about the process of making Shatila Stories and the power of collaborative literature. In the interview, Nilanjana Roy, author of The Wildings, described her experience of reading the book:
‘What I see is the power of voices coming together…this is not a charity read, this is a book that you would pick up to understand more…its very compelling.’
