We have no choice - there is no escape from our personal narratives. The hope is that we return enriched, so our internal realities advance.</description>

		<description>I think when readers (like myself) say they are looking for 'escapism' in a book, it has to be taken in a very broad sense and not only meaning 'Dan Brown' type of books! Absolutely any book can offer escapism, the difference being only what type of escapism you are looking for. Some will offer easy, cheap, cheesy ways. Some others will lead you up more narrow and interesting paths. None are 'better' than others but all offer different contexts. Of course Peirene Books offer escapism too!  Any open book takes your mind by the hand and leads it elsewhere from its own narrative. All Peirene books offer marvellous, engaging, fascinating path to other people's lives and problems and visions. To me reading IS escapism in essence, because then you are always moving away (and moved too!)  from your own inner monologue...</description>
