Have you thought about a book launch at the French Cultural Institute - Institut francais?
You might get just the perfect mix of people.

I went to the Italian Cultural Institute for a free talk and book launch (PLUS free prosecco) ‘The abandoned islands of the Venetian lagoon’ (St Marco Press) and the place was chockablock.
They had a winegrower promoting new wine he grew on one of the Islands. That’s were the freebee came from.

Maybe something similar in a ‘French’ setting plus freebee (great chance to promote anything French in a cool setting) might hit the right target? - There is a wine tasting in a nice library at the IF, as far as I know.
Or maybe you can mix book promotion with music (chanson? Don’t know Olmi’s stuff yet. Don’t know what would suit her writing.)
